Breast Augmentation

Augmentation mammoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure that enhances the breasts's size. Small breasts can be increased in volume by placing implants in the subglandular or submuscular area.

Advantages and Benefits

  • The female body contour is improved.
  • It restores the reduction of mammary volume caused by pregnancy.
  • Augmentation mammoplasty balances the difference in breast size caused by breast cancer surgery.

  • Absolute rest is not mandatory, on the contrary, it is advisable to return to normal activities as quickly as possible to the best of your abilities.
  • Avoid tanning during the first three months after the surgery, as it can leave irreversible skin spots.
  • Do not smoke for three months, as smoking does not favour healing.
  • You must not drive vehicles for a period of at least 15 days.
  • You should not raise your arms above your shoulders, or lift heavy objects. This should be done progressively to the best of your abilities.
  • Occasionally, it will be necessary to attend massage sessions (lymphatic drainage), based on your needs and your doctor's advice.
  • A post-surgical sports bra should be worn for as long as the plastic surgeon recommends.
